London Cube Co, a new and young workshop that combines technology and craft to create unique products, debuted their customizable hand crafted Cubes during the 100%Design show. The product, a playful furniture cube whose six faces can be customized to the owner’s requirement at www.londoncubecompany.com, has received so much interest that London Cube Co is looking forward to start designing a new range of handcrafted accessories based on the Cubes.

“We are very pleased that the reception of our handcrafted Cubes has been so warm. People recognize craftsmanship and good design instantly” said Claretta Pierantozzi, founder of London Cube Co.

The Cubes are now available to buy on the website starting from £340. Anyone can choose their favourite material and size and customise the six faces by choosing from selected fonts and illustrations that are in London Cube Co’s main library. Special requests can also be accommodated for fully bespoke Cubes where the faces can be designed on commission by the workshop or clients can send in their designs.

Claretta Pierantozzi is an architect and graduate of the Architectural Association. She has worked for some of the top architecture firms in London including Foster+Partners, Heatherwick studio and David Chipperfield architects before establishing London Cube Co in 2013. The company was conceived with the intention to integrate the many design processes accumulated over the years to offer something unique. Techniques such as silk-screening and letterpressing to lasercutting and CNC milling are used with more hand crafted labour.
